A brief introduction to double headed studs

Double headed bolts are mainly used for large equipment that requires the installation of accessories, such as mirrors, mechanical seal seats, and speed reduction frames. In this case, one end of the double headed bolts is screwed into the main body, and the other end is equipped with a nut after installing the accessories. 

Due to the frequent disassembly of the accessories, when connecting the main body and accessories directly with bolts, the main screw teeth may wear or damage over time, and using double headed bolts for replacement is very convenient. 

When the thickness of the connecting body is large and the bolt length is very long, double headed bolts are used. In practical work, the purpose of preventing loosening of double headed bolt connections is to reduce friction caused by external loads such as vibration, changes, and material high-temperature creep. 

The positive pressure in the threaded pair disappears at a certain moment, and the friction is zero, resulting in loose threaded connections. If repeatedly applied, the threaded connections will become loose and fail. 

Therefore, it is necessary to prevent loosening, otherwise it will affect normal work and cause accidents.
